Meet Manny Stewart.
Son of an abusive alcoholic who also is the Chief of Police, Manny grows up in the underground Colony of New York. It has been 300 years since the great city was destroyed by a huge hurricane. By now, some people don’t believe that there is an outside world, as the 840 miles of subway tunnels are all they have ever known.
It is safe in the underground, but it is illegal to leave. When Manny and his companions bribe a guard to let them watch the sunrise over Manhattan, they are astonished by what they see.
